Last year on April 24, 2025, at Million Air Albany, NABA presented Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), with the 2025 Visionary of the Year award. This award is in recognition of RPI’s outstanding leadership and innovation in improving the lives of people who are blind and visually impaired. The contributions from RPI’s Design Lab Capstone Projects to NABA’s Manufacturing Center since 2009 have been instrumental in supporting our blind workforce.

2026 Annual Visionary Golf Tournament
Monday, September 28, 2026 – Albany Country Club
On Monday, September 28, 2026, at Albany Country Club, NABA will host the 27th Annual Visionary Golf Tournament that supports essential programs and services to individuals who are blind or visually impaired. Our devoted and talented team does this by providing employment; vision rehabilitation therapy; counseling to cope with vision loss; adaptive technology training; orientation and mobility skills instruction; recreation activities; socialization programs; and education/vocation readiness activities.
