Annual Spring Celebration
On May 1, 2024, at Million Air Albany, NABA presented the Honorable Daniel P. McCoy, Albany County Executive, with the 2024 Visionary of the Year award. This award recognizes and honors individuals who demonstrate outstanding leadership in service to others by improving the lives of seniors, adults, and youth in our community. This signature fundraising event benefits NABA’s Youth, Employment, and Senior Programs to help blind and visually impaired individuals to achieve independence and growth.
Annual Visionary Golf Tournament
Save the date! On Monday, September 23, 2024, at Albany Country Club, NABA will celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the Annual Visionary Golf Tournament that supports essential programs and services to individuals who are blind or visually impaired. Our devoted and talented team does this by providing employment; vision rehabilitation therapy; counseling to cope with vision loss; adaptive technology training; orientation and mobility skills instruction; recreation activities; socialization programs; and education/vocation readiness activities.
